A few darkroom prints from Cocoon 🦋

Still blown away from the response to our group show, titled Kinship, where i showed a selection of darkroom prints in handmade frames.
The feedback I’ve gained on the show only makes me want to push this work out further and see where else it can go.

I have made a special edition of Cocoon books which I will be selling on a stand at BOP (books on photography festival) in Bristol in October, but more on that soon. 📚

For now though I’m continuing to try get the work seen and work on it through all the feedback gained.

If you would like to see more prints from this work, you can take a look at my recently updated website, in my bio.

1. (Weaver), Chromogenic darkroom print.
2. (Untitled), Chromogenic darkroom print.
3. (Hives), Chromogenic darkroom print.

Installation of Cocoon
Kinship group show 2026 The Island Bristol 22/09/26 - 27/09/26

So utterly grateful for everyone who managed to get down to the opening night of our group show this week, the response has been beautiful and my heart is so full.

It’s been a pleasure working to get this show off the ground, and I think we truly made something great.

On show are twelve Silver-Gelatin prints: 8”x10” and 20”x24”
A mix of Chromogenic and Fibre-based,
Housed in handmade stained pine frames.
+ A cocoon artist book.

The show is still running, so if you can get down and see the fantastic work we’ve put together!
@theislandbristol

Huge thank you to @goodchembrew @theciderbox @lostandgroundedbrewers for sponsoring the evening and supplying drinks for our opening party!

And all the artists involved in the show, whom I treasure so greatly @laurie_broughton @pollyrhwhite @bnar.sardar @rikiimage @ppleart @raisaruitenbeek 🖤

I’m excited to announce that an expanded selection of my work - Cocoon, will be part of a group show titled Kinship at @theislandbristol this month.

An exhibition bringing together
Seven photographers finding meaning through connection.
Be it shared human bonds and community or a deep affinity for place and landscape, each photographer explores the nuances of what it means to experience kinship.

I’ll be showing a selection of Darkroom prints most of which have never been seen before, alongside lots of work from some exceptional photographers.

So get down to the island Bristol for the opening night on the 22/09 6-9pm
All are welcome !

There will be plenty of drinks, as we have been sponsored by the lovely folks over at @goodchembrew @theciderbox @lostandgroundedbrewers

See you there ! :)

Very pleased to share some work from my Masters project Cocoon.
which is currently on show at @spikeisland
It’s a culmination of work I’ve made over a year being taught by my fantastic tutors:
Aaron Schuman @aaschuman
Dr Amak Mahmoodian @amak_mahmoodian
Dr Shawn Sobers @dr_shawn_hailemariam_sobers
With beautiful guidance by the whole technical team at Bower Ashton @photo.bristol.uwe

A huge thank you to the whole @maphotographybristol cohort, My classmates have been the most wonderful people to spend time with and I can’t thank them enough for helping me settle in to this new environment.

On view is a selection of artist made silver gelatin and Chromogenic prints, housed in handmade, stained pine frames.
And a work in progress dummy book of the work so far.

The show is on until the 22nd of July if you didn’t get chance to see the opening.

Starting to make final prints for this work in the form of a portfolio box, so expect some nice big prints of these images soon.
